Membership of the Ystradgynlais & District Chamber of Trade and Tourism is open to all businesses, trades and professions, and related groups within the area of Ystradgynlais and its districts, subject to their acceptability by the members of the Committee without discrimination to wealth, politics, race, religion or disability.

Ystradgynlais & districts covers Ystradgynlais, Caerbont, Caerlan, Abercrave, Ynsywen, Penycae, Cwmtwrch, Caehopkin, Coelbren. However, we openly welcome Affiliate members who are geographically near by yet outside of our prescribed district area.

Membership Categories

The Chamber has categories of membership which are determined by the subscription amount and are as follows:

Full member

Initial joining fee and first year’s membership – £50.00
Continuing membership – £25.00 per year

Charity member

Non-voting member representing a charity or a not for profit organisation paying an annual subscription of £1.00.

Affiliate

Non-voting and non-paying member representing organisations which have an interest in the area such as Police, Local Council, County Council. Also includes businesses outside of the Chamber’s jurisdiction (as outlined in the definition of Ystradgynlais and its Districts, above), who would benefit from Membership of the Chamber due to their very close proximity and working relationships (e.g. Ystalyfera, Banwen) may apply for affiliate membership at the discretion of the Committee.

Annual subscriptions may be paid in installments if required. Fees for Members joining partway through the year will be calculated pro rata.
