In the first of a range of training to be offered at preferential rates to Chamber members we held a Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course for members at the end of November.
Expertly delivered by Mike of WinterHawk training this one day course covered the provision of emergency first aid and was assessed to ensure competence providing certification for the workplace. Five local business signed up and benefitted from the Chambers buying power sharing the costs.
All the attendees rated the training as excellent. “You never want to be the person standing by not knowing what to do when some simply actions could make a life changing difference to some-one”

More courses are planned for 2026 including further EFAW courses as well as the three day FAW course. We are also looking at other courses such as Dementia Awareness and Social Media training. The Chamber can buy in the training and run it locally for several businesses thereby reducing costs and time away from the business.
